1. The First Step
The first step to building your new home starts now, simply contact our team and you are on your way to making your dream a reality.
We will set up an appointment time to discuss your design ideas or some of our own. Together with a property and design team, we will further examine your custom sustainable home design.

Working closely with our designers, clients are advised of alternatives that will help reduce a homes energy use and running costs, like double glazed windows for retaining the heat and incorporating the latest energy efficient products and water saving solutions....
Through good design and energy efficiency we are able to offer homes that achieve energy ratings that exceed the minimum 6 star rating on first rate.
2. Concept Stage
This involves developing a concept floor plan in consultation with the Shearer Homes property design team. Then we conduct soil tests, contours surveys, site inspections, estimations, all council requirements and permits.
3. Project Management
We also offer a full project management service to anyone interested in being an owner builder. This will eliminate the worries and stress of organising trades, council paper work and inspections for your build. Part of this service is to take your plans and produce a full costing breakdown of the build, which will assist you in financing the building your new home.
4. Preliminary Stage
At this stage, working drawings are developed and engineering drawings prepared. Clients also meet with our project design team to select products, colours and provide samples, discuss the interior and exterior styling and landscape gardening requirements
5. Contract Stage
Shearer Homes will prepare and present a contract which includes a full set of construction drawings and specifications.
Construction commences and continues according to the term of the contract. During the construction stages we consult and update you every step of the way so you become a part of the build and not a number.
6. Handover
Shearer Homes hand over your new sustainable home ready for your family to move in and enjoy your new lifestyle.
